Amman Arab University (AAU) Enhances International Presence in European Aviation Safety Project (ASPRO)

As part of its ongoing pursuit of excellence and leadership across various academic and community fields, and to strengthen its presence as an active partner in international initiatives and projects, Amman Arab University participated in the periodic meeting for the ASPRO project, which specializes in aviation safety. The project is funded by the European Union (Erasmus+) with a budget of 400,000 euros. The university was represented at the meeting by Professor Dr. Mohammad Al-Widyan, President of Amman Arab University, and Dr. Anwar Al-Assaf, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering. The meeting was held at the Creative Thinking Development center in Greece, the strategic partner of the project, with participation from representatives of the partner countries: Jordan, Greece, Turkey, and Lithuania.

The meeting discussed the most significant achievements made during the previous stages of the project and reviewed its scientific and applied outputs. It also explored mechanisms for enhancing cooperation among the partners to complete the implementation of future plans within the specified timeframes. The gathering included side meetings aimed at exploring opportunities for academic and research collaboration among the participating universities and institutions.

Amman Arab University's participation in this project stems from its commitment to developing the quality of education and training in the fields of engineering and aviation safety, and to building the capacities of academic and research staff in line with modern European standards and trends. This contributes to enhancing the university's stature at both the regional and international levels.
