
Amman Arab University (AAU) Business College Organizes the "Emerging Financial Analyst" Competition for Jordanian Universities
In line with Amman Arab University's endeavor to enhance student competence and in implementation of the directives of its President, Professor Dr. Mohammad Al-Widyan, to hone students' skills and provide them with competitive experience by engaging in practical activities with their peers from various Jordanian universities, the University's Business School organized the "Emerging Financial Analyst" competition.
The competition was held in cooperation with Morgan International, the official sponsor and supporter of this distinguished event, stemming from their shared commitment to developing the capabilities of Jordanian youth and qualifying them to obtain global professional certifications. The competition saw participation from a group of students from five Jordanian universities.
The competition aimed to enhance students' financial analysis and strategic thinking skills, bridging the gap between academic knowledge and practical application in financial markets. During the competition, students from the Business School at Amman Arab University presented an advanced financial analysis of the Jordan Petroleum Refinery Company. Their analysis included a study of the company's financial data and future share price forecasts, utilizing the latest tools and methods of financial valuation and analysis.
The judging committee, comprising His Excellency Mr. Mazen Wathaifi, CEO of the Amman Stock Exchange, Mr. Ahmad Al-Qawasmi, and Dr. Nafoud Abdel Fattah, announced the final results. The winning students were honored and presented with certificates of appreciation and trophies for the best financial analysis. The results were as follows:
• First Place: The team from AL-Zaytoonah University – The winning team received a full scholarship for the CMA course fees, provided by Morgan International.
• Second Place: The team from Mutah University.
• Third Place: The team from Amman Arab University.
• Fourth Place: The team from the Arab Open University.
• Fifth Place: The team from Philadelphia University.
On this occasion, Dr. Ahoud Al-Khasawnah, Dean of the Business School at Amman Arab University, praised the significant efforts made by the students and organizers to ensure the success of this event. She emphasized that such initiatives reflect the Faculty's commitment to providing a stimulating educational environment that fosters creativity and practical application.
Dr. Al-Khasawnah stated that the competition directly contributes to refining students' skills and enhancing their capabilities, which in turn raises their readiness to enter the job market with efficiency and professionalism. She commended the spirit of interaction and positive competition demonstrated by the participants and called for the continuation of such activities that open new horizons for students to discover their potential.
