
Amman Arab University and Sultan Abdullah University (AAU) of Malaysia Sign Academic and Research Cooperation Agreement
Amman Arab University (AAU) and Sultan Abdullah University of Malaysia (UMPSA) have signed a comprehensive academic and research cooperation agreement. The agreement, signed by the presidents of both universities in the presence of the Malaysian Ambassador to Jordan, aims to foster collaboration through joint research projects, academic publishing, conference participation, and the exchange of scientific materials. It also includes programs for student and faculty exchange, sabbatical leaves, and industrial consultations.
Both presidents highlighted the strategic importance of the partnership. Dr. Al-Widyan of AAU stated it would enhance the university's international profile and launch specialized research agreements, while Professor Dr. Yatimah of UMPSA emphasized its role in promoting innovation, particularly in engineering and technology. The Malaysian Ambassador underscored the agreement as a testament to strong Jordanian-Malaysian bilateral relations and a means to advance sustainable development through academic cooperation. The agreement is seen as a foundational step towards unifying resources to address global scientific challenges.
