
Amman Arab University (AAU) Students Compete Globally: "Turbines" Team Ranks Tenth in NASA's International Space Apps Hackathon 2025
In a new achievement that adds to its record of academic excellence, Amman Arab University’s "Turbines" team, affiliated with the Aerospace and Electronics Society (AESS AAU), secured 10th place nationally in Jordan at the NASA Space Apps Challenge 2025. The team, composed of outstanding students from the Faculty of Aviation Sciences and the Faculty of Information Technology, presented an innovative project focused on environmental sustainability.
The project offered an advanced technical solution for recycling non-organic waste, utilizing specially designed engineering models. It successfully combined the structural and mechanical expertise of aviation students with the programming and data analysis skills of IT students to create a practical model aimed at reducing environmental pollution and protecting natural resources.
The university administration expressed great pride in this qualitative accomplishment, which reflects the advanced competence of its students, their ability to work as one team, and their skill in applying scientific knowledge and modern technology to address contemporary global challenges.
