
Amman Arab University (AAU) Hosts Landmark Jordan Cybersecurity Challenge
Amman Arab University has successfully concluded the first Jordan Cybersecurity Challenge 2025, a significant national event organized by its Faculty of Information Technology in cooperation with IEEE.
The competition attracted 112 teams from 25 Jordanian universities. After online qualifiers, 54 teams advanced to the finals hosted at the university. The team Gh0stBytes from the Applied Science Private University claimed first place, followed by Zero Day Warriors from Amman Private University in second, and White Lotus from Amman Arab University in third. Several teams also won specialized category awards.
University officials, including President Prof. Dr. Mohammad Al-Widyan, emphasized the event's vital role in empowering Jordanian youth in the critical field of cybersecurity. The organizers highlighted that the challenge served as a key national platform for fostering innovation, collaboration, and academic excellence, helping to build a skilled Jordanian generation capable of securing the nation's digital future.
