
Amman Arab University (AAU) and Traffic Department: An Academic Partnership from Traffic Halls to Research Horizons
A delegation from the College of Business at Amman Arab University visited the Traffic Department in Amman to explore research collaboration. The delegation, led by Vice Dean Professor Dr. Husein Awad and including faculty from the Management Information Systems department, met with Traffic Department Director Brigadier Raed Al-Assaf and his deputy.
Discussions focused on employing artificial intelligence technologies to develop traffic services, such as analyzing traffic patterns and predicting congestion levels. The academics also showed interest in the department's use of virtual reality applications for traffic awareness and driver training. The Traffic Department expressed its readiness to provide comprehensive statistical data to support rigorous scientific research aimed at enhancing traffic safety and service quality.
The visit was coordinated by Major Ahmad Zreiqat, a master's student in Business Information Technology at the university, who also works at the Traffic Department. This initiative represents a foundational step towards a strategic partnership that integrates scientific research with practical application to support national efforts in developing the traffic system.
