Active Participation of the Faculty of Law at Amman Arab University in the 2025 Jordanian-European Research Day
Amman Arab University, represented by its Faculty of Law, participated in the 2025 Jordanian-European Research Day, which took place at Jordan University of Science and Technology and the University of Jordan over the course of two days. The event was organized by the Higher Council for Science and Technology. Amman Arab University was represented by Dr. Mohammed Matalqa and Dr. Dr. Mousa Al-Qaaida from the Faculty of Law.
This participation highlights Amman Arab University’s leading academic and research role and its commitment to fostering international collaboration in scientific research. This is particularly relevant with major European programs like Horizon Europe, PRIMA, and COST, which aim to support Jordanian researchers in securing European funding and establishing sustainable research partnerships.
The event focused on the research partnership between the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and the European Union at both regional and international levels. It also emphasized the importance of collaboration across various research fields. Participants underscored the vital role of legal experts in protecting intellectual property for research projects. Furthermore, the sessions stressed the need to develop legal frameworks that keep pace with the digital revolution. The role of digital law in regulating electronic transactions, protecting data, and ensuring cybersecurity in advanced research environments was highlighted, particularly as the reliance on artificial intelligence technologies in knowledge production and development continues to grow. The discussions also covered the importance of securing international funding sources to support interdisciplinary research and directing research efforts toward achieving sustainable development goals.
