The First Scientific Day of the College of Educational and Psychological Sciences at Amman Arab University

Under the patronage of Professor. Mohamad Al-Widyan, President of Amman Arab University, College of Educational and Psychological Sciences at the University held the activities of the first scientific day, in the presence of the Assistant to the President for Academic Affairs, Professor. Ismail Yamin, Dr. Wafa Al-Eid, Dean of the College of Educational and Psychological Sciences, members of academic and administrative bodies, and students of the college, and with the participation of several educational figures, where the scientific day included several activities, including: a practical seminar, a blood donation campaign, and a charity bazaar for the local community.

The organization of this scientific day comes due to its great importance for students to learn about educational innovations in educational specializations, and the belief of the College of Educational and Psychological Sciences in the importance of Amman Arab University’s partnership with educational institutions and the exchange of experiences that contribute to raising the level of education in various educational topics. The scientific day included a video presentation by the Dean of the College of Educational and psychological science, Dr. Wafaa Al-Eid, who spoke about the college’s origins, development, and contributions. During the video, the Deputy Dean of the College of Educational and Psychological Sciences, Professor. Rami Al-Shaqran, spoke about the scientific majors offered in the college. Also, a faculty member in the Department of Educational Psychology, Professor. Shatha Al-Ajili, spoke about what achievements the college has achieved.

Student Afnan Yedek from the Department of Psychological and Educational Counseling said in her speech on behalf of the college students that the specialization aims to prepare distinguished graduates who possess scientific and practical skills through the study plan that includes scientific courses aimed at preparing distinguished counselors qualified to provide advice and assistance in educational issues and aspects that affect Conducting the educational process, providing professional and educational guidance, and helping them make important decisions in their lives.

The scientific day included a scientific symposium, which was moderated by Professor. Suhaila Banat, a faculty member in the Department of Psychological and Educational Counseling in the College of Educational and Psychological Sciences at Amman Arab University. Scientific papers concerned with educational innovations in the disciplines of the College of Educational and Psychological Sciences, in which Professor Dr. Khalifa Abu Ashour spoke about Educational administration, Professor Dr. Muhammad Al-Rufou on psychology, Professor Dr. Ibrahim Al-Momani on curricula and teaching methods, Dr. Osama Jumaa on special education, Professor Dr. Hussein Al-Sharaa on psychological and educational guidance, while Professor Dr. Heba Hammad spoke on measurement and evaluation, and at the end of the day’s activities Scientific speakers were honored at the symposium in appreciation of their efforts.
