Reflecting Amman Arab University’s commitment to “Leadership and Excellence,” a group of students participated in the Second Young Electrical Engineers Forum (SOFEE 2024). The event, held at the Kempinski Hotel in Amman, was organized by the Young Engineers and Electrical Media Committee of the Jordanian Engineers Association. It brought together key figures, including Engineer Ahmad Samara Al-Zoubi, President of the Jordanian Engineers Association; Dr. Ali Al-Khawaldeh, Secretary-General of the Ministry of Political Affairs; Engineer Mohammad Al-Habashneh, Chair of the Young Engineers and Electrical Media Committee; and Engineer Tamara Al-Khashman, Chair of the Forum’s Preparatory Committee.

Dr. Anwar Al-Assaf, Dean of the College of Engineering at Amman Arab University, praised the Jordanian Engineers Association and the AEE for enriching the knowledge of renewable energy students. He emphasized that the forum aligned with the university’s mission by providing students with opportunities to engage with leaders and experts in fields like artificial intelligence, smart systems, and renewable energy.

The event also featured a tour of the Innovation and Technology Exhibition, showcasing the latest advancements in electrical engineering. Key topics covered during the forum included Green Hydrogen, Power-to-X applications, engineering standards, data center transformation, and insights into Jordan’s engineering job market. These discussions bridged theory and practical application, offering students valuable insights into current technological and engineering practices.
