Graduation Projects with Innovative Ideas by Architecture Students at Amman Arab University
The College of Engineering at Amman Arab University recently showcased graduation projects from its Architecture Department, encouraging students to develop innovative, community-focused initiatives. Under the guidance of Dr. Anwar Al-Assaf, Dean of the College, and Dr. Mohammad Abu Hussein, Head of the Architecture Department, these projects were presented as part of the “Graduation Project (2)” course. Fourteen projects, assessed by a panel of distinguished academics and industry experts, were evaluated across three halls in the university’s architecture studios. The external panel commended the students’ projects for their creativity and community impact, emphasizing their importance in advancing the local labor market.
The projects encompassed a wide range of topics, such as an Architectural Research Center, a Women’s Empowerment initiative in Zizia, an inspiration center for individuals with special needs, and the “Nucleus of the New Downtown Amman.” Other innovative concepts included centers for Arab poetry, arts and crafts, alternative medicine, art therapy, and agricultural research. These projects aim to strengthen students’ practical skills, align with industry demands, and enhance their career opportunities.
