Faculty of Engineering at the Amman Arab University Participates in the 7th Jordanian International Architectural Conference
As a representative of His Excellency Prime Minister Dr. Bishr Al-Khasawneh, the Minister of Public Works and Housing, Engineer Maher Abu Al-Samman, opened the activities of the seventh international Jordanian architectural conference, under the title "Architecture and Artificial Intelligence", which was held by the Architecture Division of the Jordanian Engineers Union. The College of Engineering at the Arab Amman University participated and under the guidance of Prof. Mohamed Al-Widyan, President of the University, represented by Dr. Mohammed Mufid Al-Sahwail, representing the Dean of the Faculty and Head of the Civil Engineering Department in the activities of the conference, in addition to the participation of the university in the preparatory committee of the conference represented by Engineer Heba Abu Hamid, and with the active participation of students of the Faculty of Engineering from the Arab University of Amman, where the students of the Department of Engineering participated Architecture at the conference exhibition presented three projects in which 9 students participated, which were attended by the President of Jordanian Engineers, Engineer Ahmed Samara Al-Zubi, and a wide selection of architects from Jordan and various Arab and international countries.
In this regard, Dr. Shawil said that the conference aims to explore the latest developments and trends in artificial intelligence and its applications in architecture, engineering and construction, to provide a good opportunity to communicate with academic and professional experts from different countries and backgrounds and to exchange ideas, perspectives and scientific and practical experiences about the future of artificial intelligence in architecture.
During his attendance at the exhibition, Engineer Al-Zu'bi pointed out that we are about to the end of the Fourth Industrial Revolution and enter the world of new and renewed revolutions in the world of artificial intelligence and its effects, whether in the machine education sector, to improve the experience of education and its industrial uses through robots and their medical uses, in addition to entering the world of audio and video and driving machines automatically, indicating that artificial intelligence is positively intertwined with architecture, city planning and urban planning, whether in design and planning processes, data analysis or generating designs and presenting innovative ideas.
On the sidelines of the conference, Minister Abu Al-Samman opened the architectural university exhibition, under the title "Reviving Resilience in Gaza", using artificial intelligence technology. At the end of the ceremony, the delegate of the sponsor of the conference and the President of Jordanian engineers, and the President of the Architectural Division and the Chairman of the Preparatory Committee, honored a number of participants, including Engineer Heba Abu Hamid from Amman Arab University.
