Amman Arab University participate in the Jordanian-Turkish Higher Education Forum
Amman Arab University participated in the Jordanian-Turkish Higher Education Forum, which was organized by the Jordanian Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, the Tourism Promotion Board, and the Turkish Higher Education Council, in the Jordanian capital, Amman, in the presence of: His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Azmi Muhafza, and the Turkish Chairman of the Council of Higher Education, Dr. Erol Ozvar, and the Turkish Ambassador to Amman, Erdam Ozan, in addition to members of the Higher Education Council in both Jordan and Turkey.
On the sidelines of the forum, President of Amman Arab University, Professor. Mohamad Al-Widyan, gave a detailed presentation about the university and its establishment, and the distinctive experience it represents in cultural diversity and ease of services, and the colleges and academic programs it includes at the bachelor’s and master’s levels, in addition to its students and the advantages it offers them ,and various student services. Al-Widyan pointed out the University’s keenness to expand its network of relationships with various academic institutions and universities around the world by supporting research and scientific projects, as the university gives priority to research, applied scientific projects, and scientific research related to development purposes, by encouraging researchers to work through teams. joint research .Prof . Al-Widyan presented what Amman Arab University offers and its role in serving and disseminating the Arabic language, through Language Center through the Arabic for Non-Native speakers Unit. He noted that the forum witnessed the presence of the presidents of a number of Jordanian universities and a large number of the presidents of Turkish universities.
During the forum, ways of cooperation were opened with a number of Turkish universities, including the Turkish University of Marmara, in several fields, including the Arabic language for non-native speakers and academic exchange funded by the Erasmus+ program supported by th It is noteworthy that the Amman Arab University delegation participating in the forum included: Director of the International Office and External Relations at the university, Dr. Muhammad Sahwil, and Dr. Lina Al-Jarrah, a faculty member in the College of Arts and Sciences.
