Architecture Students at Amman Arab University Present Innovative Mixed-Use Tower Designs
Architecture students at Amman Arab University recently showed their final projects for the Architectural Design (5) course, focusing on a “High-rise Mixed Use Project.”
The students emphasized how the site's strategic location influenced their designs, allowing them to create Tower Designs that reflects the area’s identity while maintaining the city’s horizontal architectural integrity. They also aimed to address environmental concerns, incorporating urban and technological advancements into their designs.
Dr. Abu Sheikha praised the consistency of the projects, noting that the positive similarities among the designs highlighted the effectiveness of his teaching approach and the collaborative work during the site analysis phase. He also emphasized how the project simulated real-world architectural practice, helping students refine their skills for professional careers.
Dr. Ruba Al-Omari, Head of the Architecture Engineering Department, commended the quality of the projects and their role in developing students' abilities to propose innovative architectural solutions that address current and future challenges in the field.
