Amman Arab University (AAU) Business Students Empowered Through "Sustainability, Entrepreneurship & Innovation" Competition, Enhancing Job Market Readiness

Aligned with Amman Arab University's vision to foster creativity, entrepreneurship, and sustainable development principles among students, the College of Business concluded the "Sustainability, Entrepreneurship and Innovation Competition." Organized in collaboration with the College Student Club and Digital Marketing Department, this event formed part of a series of activities designed to empower students and activate their role in addressing societal issues through digital marketing tools and creative design. Student participants from diverse specializations delivered exceptional works and innovative designs reflecting their awareness of entrepreneurship and sustainability concepts in modern business environments.

The competition aimed to enhance entrepreneurial and innovative thinking among College of Business students by motivating them to produce creative marketing and design solutions demonstrating deep understanding of sustainability and corporate social responsibility in contemporary business. It further developed students' practical skills in digital marketing, visual creativity, and effective communication through modern tools and techniques that strengthen their ability to present ideas professionally according to local and international market demands. Serving as an applied educational platform, the competition reinforced integration between academic/theoretical aspects and digital/creative skills, thereby preparing qualified graduates capable of responding to rapid business challenges and contributing effectively to institutional and societal sustainable development.

The judging committee announced final results, honoring winning students and presenting appreciation certificates for outstanding creative designs

that excellently embodied entrepreneurship and sustainability concepts:

1. Zaid Khalayleh: Winner in Advertising Poster category for an innovative visual design artistically and professionally representing sustainability concepts.

2. Mahmoud Aqra’: Winner in Marketing Video category for distinguished visual content highlighting entrepreneurship’s vital role in achieving Sustainable Development Goals.

3. Hanen Abdullah & Husam Al-Kurdi: Winners in Interactive Carousel category for a joint work featuring creative visual sequencing reflecting innovation and social responsibility, demonstrating advanced digital design tool proficiency.

On this occasion, Dr. Ahoud Al-Khasawneh, Dean of the College of Business at Amman Arab University, commended the significant efforts of participating students and organizers. She emphasized that such initiatives reflect the College’s commitment to providing an educational environment stimulating creativity and practical application, noting that the competition directly sharpens students’ analytical thinking, creative design, and teamwork skills while linking theoretical knowledge to practical applications in digital marketing and entrepreneurship. This enhances graduates’ readiness to enter the job market with efficiency and professionalism. The Dean appreciated participants’ spirit of engagement and positive competition, calling for continued activities that open new horizons for students to discover their potential and contribute meaningfully to society and the local economy within frameworks of responsibility and sustainability.
