Amman Arab University (AAU) and Jordan Games Lab Sign Cooperation Agreement

Demonstrating its commitment to forging partnerships with leading national institutions in digital creativity and technological content, and affirming its dedication to advancing the digital gaming industry as a promising future sector, Amman Arab University signed a cooperation agreement with Jordan Games Lab. The agreement was formalized by University President Professor Mohammad Al-Widyan and Dr. Nour Khreis, Administrative and Technical Partner of Jordan Games Lab. Attendees included Dr. Samer Ayasrah, Director of the Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Creativity Centre; Mr. Anas Kasou, Assistant Director of Media and Public Relations; Mr. Youssef Al-Khalid from the Centre; and Engineer Husein Bino, General Supervisor of Jordan Games Lab.

This collaborative framework aims to empower students by developing their digital game design and interactive software skills, enhancing their competitiveness in the growing digital job market. Key initiatives include specialized workshops, training programs, on-campus innovation labs, student access to Jordan Games Lab’s nationwide facilities, support for entrepreneurial projects, and university-hosted competitions to foster innovation.

Professor Al-Widyan stated that this agreement aligns with the University’s vision of promoting practical and technical education while guiding students toward modern technology fields. He emphasized that gaming and e-sports form part of the national strategy under the Economic Modernisation Vision, noting the special attention given by His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II to this promising sector’s role in boosting the digital economy and youth empowerment. He described the partnership as a critical step toward nurturing student creativity, technical skill development, and alignment with regional job market demands.

Dr. Khreis affirmed that this collaboration strategically enhances Jordanian youth’s capabilities in digital game development. Jordan Games Lab will deploy its technical expertise to support students through specialized training programs and direct mentorship, enabling them to produce innovative games meeting global standards. He highlighted the partnership’s role in creating stimulating educational environments that merge academic and practical learning, preparing graduates to compete in the rapidly growing global gaming industry, while expressing his commitment to sustained cooperation.
