President of "Amman Arab University" Receives President of Palestine Technical University - Kadoorie
President of Amman Arab University, Professor. Mohamad Al-Widyan, received in his office the President of Palestine Technical University - Kadoorie, Professor. Hussein Shank, in the presence of Professor i. Ismail Yameen, Assistant to the President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Muhamad Mufid Sahwil, Director of the International Office and External Relations at Amman Arab University, and Dr. Jaafar Abu Sa’, Dean of the College of Arts and Educational Sciences at Palestine Technical University - Kadoorie.
During the meeting, ways of enhancing cooperation and partnership between the two universities in the academic and joint research field were discussed, and the development of the partnership in a way that serves the academic and teaching process between the two sides. In this regard, Prof. Al-Widyan presented the history and establishment of Amman Arab University, the educational opportunities available to students at the university, and the majors that the university has developed that are unique in addition to In addition to the classifications and certificates that the university recently obtained and the placement of some bachelor’s majors at Amman Arab University. Prof. Al-Widyan indicated that bachelor’s programs in the College of Engineering and the College of Computer Sciences and Informatics were recently accommodated within the National Qualifications Framework, bringing the number of residential programs at Amman Arab University (7) out of (22) Bachelor’s degree programs in its various nine colleges.
In turn, Dr. Shank said, “We appreciate the support of the Jordanian king, government, and people for the Palestinian issue, and we value their positions toward the Palestinian people”. He stated that this visit comes to strengthen cooperation and partnership with Amman Arab University in many joint aspects to develop scientific and cultural fields that contribute to the development of university education and scientific research.
