President of Amman Arab University Receives the Director General of the Vocational Training Corporation
President of Amman Arab University, Professor. Mohamad Al-Widyan, received in his office Engineer Ahmed Al-Gharaibeh, Director General of the Vocational Training Corporation, in the presence of Engineer Ibrahim Al-Tarawneh, Assistant Director-General of the Vocational Training Corporation for Technical and Administrative Affairs, and Mr. Anas Kaso from the Department of Media and Public Relations at the University.
During the meeting, forms of joint cooperation between the two parties were discussed to develop frameworks for joint cooperation in scientific research and raise the academic level of human staff through exchanging scientific and practical experiences, establishing joint training programs between the two parties, and enhancing the scientific teaching process in teaching curricula.
Prof. Al-Widyan pointed out that Amman Arab University is working to create a unique competitive advantage by updating study plans that suit the requirements of the labor market, striving to achieve a creative integration between theoretical and practical teaching, conveying course content to students effectively, and preparing qualified and trained cadres that meet the requirements. And the needs of the local and global labor market, in addition to creating unique majors such as aircraft maintenance, avionics science, and cyber security for bachelor’s degree ,in addition to embodying the spirit of leadership and creativity among students, he stated that Amman Arab University obtained a work license from the Authority for the Development of Vocational and Technical Skills, making it one of the first Jordanian universities to obtain this license, according to which the Authority approves the certificates and training courses offered by the Consulting and training Center at Amman Arab University.
In turn, Gharaibeh explained that the vision of the institution comes in accordance with the royal directives and with the close follow-up of His Highness Crown Prince Hussein bin Abdullah II, with the aim of preparing young men and women to meet the needs of the labor market, in addition to developing training programs and improving the training system in general. He stressed that the institution seeks to raise and develop the vocational and technical education and training system, which works to establish real partnerships with all governmental and private educational institutions, to raise the efficiency and rehabilitate their trainers.
