Amman Arab University Excels in the Training of Trainers (TOT) Program within STEP

Within the joint cooperation between the Center for Creativity, Innovation and Entrepreneurship at Amman Arab University and the Business Development Center (BDC), the Business Development Center - BDC concluded the Training of Trainers (TOT) program within the STEP program, which aims to train Jordanian university professors, educational counselors, and creativity and innovation centers in Jordanian universities on empowering students, training them on labor market skills, and enhancing employment and employment opportunities.

This program comes with funding from the Islamic Development Bank and the Abdul Aziz Al Ghurair Refugee Education Fund in cooperation with SPARK, and aims to empower young people and integrate them into the labor market by providing them with the necessary skills, as well as empowering university professors, educational counselors, and creativity and innovation centers to train students on labor market skills, as well as multi-day train-the-trainers program aims to equip university representatives with the necessary skills and knowledge to effectively implement STEP program.

In this regard, Dr. Samer Ayasrah, Director of the Center for Creativity, Innovation and Entrepreneurship at Amman Arab University, said that one of the primary goals of the Center is to build distinguished and strong partnerships with various sectors, and international and local organizations, as the training focused on developing the skills of university professors, educational counselors, and creativity and innovation centers in a number of Universities, including Amman Arab University, to in turn train university students on labor market skills.

Through this program, the Business Development Center - BDC seeks to improve youth employment opportunities and enhance their skills necessary for success in the labor market, which will reduce unemployment among youth and contribute to sustainable economic development in Jordan.

The participants from Amman Arab University expressed their happiness in participating in such a program, which worked to enhance the concepts of learning programs integrated with work skills, acquiring applied skills to develop the quality of the educational process, so that on a long-term time scale, the focus will be on developing programs and plans to empower and train students in skills. Applied.

The participation of Amman Arab University, represented by a group of members of the academic and administrative staff, comes out of the university’s keenness, represented by the Center for Creativity, Innovation and Entrepreneurship, to develop and hone the necessary skills for the participants and enable them to train students on labor market skills and create distinctive opportunities for them in the future. The university participated in the training program: : Dr. Rami Hanandeh, Dr. Ghaith Al-Sheikh, Professor Tariq Al-Wreikat, Mrs. Shatha Al-Rabie, Professor Youssef Al-Khaled, Professor Wael Al-Hourani.
