"Amman Arab University" Inaugurates the Relief Campaign Recently Launched by Donating J.D (12,000) to Gaza
Based on its national role and societal responsibility, Amman Arab University opened on Tuesday, 10/17/2023, the relief campaign it recently launched with a donation of J.D (12,000) in response to the call of humanitarian and fraternal duty for the people in the Gaza Strip who are facing a brutal war from the brutal occupier. His Excellency the Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Dr. Omar Al-Jazi, deputizing its president, Professor Mohamad Al-Widyan, who announced the opening of the campaign in a speech he delivered in the presence of the Chairman of the Board of Directors, Engineer. Ahmed Al-Khaled, the president’s assistants, deans, directors of administrative units, members of the teaching and administrative staff, and a large group of University students.
In his speech, he referred to the suffering of the Palestinian people in general as a result of the occupation and what the people are exposed to, especially in Gaza today, from the Israeli destruction machine, stressing that this campaign was carried out by the University in accordance with its humanitarian and societal role dictated by its concern for the nation’s issues and fraternal duty towards the brothers in occupied Palestine, in addition to It came in line with donation campaigns from various different sectors with official support led by His Majesty King Abdullah II to stand by them and mobilize the international community to stop the war against them and speed up the solution of their just cause.
He concluded his speech by appealing to all members of the University family to participate in this humanitarian campaign and urging them to donate to the benefit of the people in Gaza.
Meanwhile, a group of attendees delivered speeches about the opening of the campaign, in which Mrs. Nadia Al-Qadaimat, Assistant to the President for Administrative and Financial Affairs, Professor. Khaled Bani Hamdan, Dean of Student Affairs, Mr. Bassam Al-Bashaira, Director of the Office of Community Relations and Responsibility, and Dr. Ahmed Al-Shiha, former member of the Board of Trustees, participated. The speakers agreed to the suffering of Gaza people as a result of the war on them, interspersed with their calls and appeals to everyone to participate in the campaign, activate it and make it successful by donating financially to help the families and brothers in the Gaza Strip and to secure the means of life of food, medicine and shelter supplies and to alleviate the specter of suffering and the scourges of war from them, and they stressed In their speeches, they encouraged that their participation in this campaign by donating would be a role model for others.
It is noteworthy that the total donations will be transferred to the Jordanian Hashemite Charitable Organization to ensure that they reach our deserving people in the Gaza Strip.
