Amman Arab University Organizes the First Crown Prince Chess Championship for Jordanian Universities
Under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Al-Widyan, President of Amman Arab University, the Ministry of Youth, in cooperation with the Amman Arab University, organized the "First Crown Prince of Chesss Championship for Jordanian Universities" at the University of Amman Arab University, with the participation of (14) universities. The tournament was opened by a representative of the President of the University, Dr. Hussam Al-Hamad, and Assistant to the President for Planning and Quality Assurance Who, in turn, thanked the Ministry of Youth for its role in cooperation with universities, especially the Amman Arab University, and congratulated His Highness Prince Al-Hussein Ibn Abdullah II, the Crown Prince, and His Highness Princess Rajwa Al-Hussein on the occasion of their wedding, and urged the students to participate in such activities that develop the mind and wished the participating students success
At the beginning of the tournament, Dr. Khalid Bani Hamdan, Dean of Student Affairs, welcomed the participating universities and congratulated the wedding of His Highness Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II, Crown Prince, and indicated that the organization of this tournament came on this precious occasion. He also thanked the Royal Chess Federation for cooperation in making the success of the tournament
Dr. Khadija Abu Hamour, Director of Youth Communication at the Ministry of Youth, thanked the Amman Arab University for the wonderful organization and said: Today we are happy to be in this scientific edifice to organize a tournament bearing the name of Crown Prince Hussein, wishing His Highness a life full of happiness and enthusiasm
At the end of the tournament, the Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Khalid Bani Hamdan, and the Director of Youth Communication, Dr. Khadija Abu Hammour from the Ministry of Youth, honored the winners of the tournament. The results were as follows:
- First place, Yarmouk University
- Second place, Middle East University
- Third place is Mutah University
The participants expressed their thanks and happiness to participate in this tournament, which bears the name of His Highness the Crown Prince, and their appreciation to the Arab University of Amman for the good reception and organization, and everyone congratulated and congratulated His Highness Prince Al Hussein on the occasion of his wedding to His Highness Princess Rajwa Al Hussein
