As part of the ongoing community and scientific activities, the Faculty of Educational and Psychological Sciences at Amman Arab University has participated in a series of seminars organized by the Jordanian Scholars Association. Dr. Nusaiba Alsuwa, Head of the Department of Administration, Curriculum, and Teaching Methods, and a member of the Jordanian Scholars Association, and Dr. Rand Arabiyat, Head of the Department of Educational Psychology and Counseling, took part in the seminars under the theme "Ramadan: The Month of Victories."

Dr. Alsuwa led a seminar titled "My Children in Ramadan," organized by the Women's Committee of the Association, where she focused on the spiritual and educational atmosphere of Ramadan and its profound impact on both children and adults. Dr. Alsuwa emphasized the role of families and educators in guiding children and teaching them how to make the most of this month to enhance their religious and ethical values, ensuring that their Ramadan experience is positive and constructive.

On her part, Dr. Arabiyat provided a comprehensive overview of the impact of Ramadan on children’s mental health, explaining how the fasting experience can be transformed into an opportunity to foster positive values, self-awareness, and psychological discipline. She also outlined practical strategies for parents to help children embrace fasting with motivation, avoiding pressure and stress. Additionally, Dr. Arabiyat highlighted the role of family environments in shaping lasting Ramadan memories.

The seminar witnessed active engagement from the audience, with many questions raised about the best ways to instill positive habits in children during Ramadan and how to encourage them to fast and perform acts of worship with love and positivity.

This participation aligns with Amman Arab University’s commitment to contributing to scientific and community events that aim to promote educational values and societal awareness, in line with its academic and educational mission to serve the community.
