"Amman Arab University" Receives a Delegation of Experts from the American Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education

As part of Amman Arab University’s efforts to obtain the best international accreditations, Professor. Mohamad Al-Widyan, President of Amman Arab University, received a delegation of experts representing the American Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) within the framework of the verification visit for the American International Accreditation for Pharmacy Education. The visit included evaluation sessions for the Bachelor of Pharmacy program that extended for four days.

The Dean of the College of Pharmacy, Professor. Rana Abu Haweij, assured the members of the delegation of the diligent work of the college team to achieve the ambitious vision of the College of Pharmacy, which is based on leadership and excellence in pharmaceutical education, scientific research, and community service. The delegation then listened to the Assistant Dean, Dr. Sarah Nasser Al-Din, and the Department Head, Dr. Yazan Al-Rashdan. The head of the training committee, Dr. Mai Al-Hawamdeh, members of the teaching and administrative staff, college students and graduates, in addition to the strategic partners of the College of Pharmacy and members of the advisory council.

The visit also included a field tour of all the college’s facilities, including teaching and research laboratories, as well as offices, teaching halls, computer laboratories, and the college’s virtual pharmacy, in addition to the library, the Centenary Auditorium, the health center, the admission and registration department, the sports hall, and the cafeteria. The delegation also visited some field training places for students, including hospitals and pharmacies. Pharmaceutical warehouses and pharmaceutical factories.

It is worth noting that the delegation, composed of deans of the colleges of pharmacy at the University of Iowa, the University of Illinois, the University of Lebanon, and the University of Sharjah, praised the organization, welcome, team spirit, and sense of belonging that beats in the heart of all college members, with the support of senior management. The visit concluded with the delegation being honored with shields by the President of Amman Arab University. In honor of their efforts to raise the level of pharmaceutical education.
