Amman Arab University Organizes a Field Visit to Arab Potash
Students of the Accounting Department at the College of Business at Amman Arab University made a field visit to the site of the Arab Potash Company in Ghor Al-Safi, with the aim of linking academic knowledge with practical reality and learning about the reality of the operation, training and development process in the company.
This visit comes in order to open ways of cooperation between Amman Arab University and the Arab Potash Company, which is considered one of the leading international companies in the mining sector and contributes to supporting the national economy. The student delegation was accompanied by a faculty member in the College of Business at the university, Dr. Ala’ Al-Bawat who coordinated this visit, then, they were received by the staff of the Training and Development Center in the company, who in turn emphasized that the company's mission and policy depend on community participation and various sectoral activities to achieve a positive impact, since the company's factories are in the Ghor Al-Safi area, especially the support of University students.
During their tour inside the company and the factory, the students listened to a detailed explanation of all production stages, the organizational structure, the financial system, and the competitiveness of the company's products at the regional and global levels.
For his part, the director of the accounting department at the Arab Potash Company highlighted the importance of accounting science and the job opportunities for this rapidly developing specialty. The finance department in the company presented to the students the principles of finance and accounting and how to link academic curricula with practical application in the fields of financial, cost and administrative accounting. At the end of the visit, Dr. Ala’ Al-Bawat expressed his sincere thanks to the management of the Arab Potash Company for providing this opportunity to the students, while the participating students expressed their happiness in this visit, stressing that it constituted a strong incentive for them to further educational attainment and acquire skills.
