Lecture in "Amman Arab University" on "Mechanisms for Dealing with Partisan Life in Higher Education Institutions"
Amman - As part of the series of periodic meetings for the road map for the conduct of partisan life for students organized by Amman Arab University, the Deanship of Student Affairs, in cooperation with the Faculty of Law at the university, organized a lecture entitled "Mechanisms for dealing with partisan life in institutions of higher education."
The lecture was presented by Prof. Noman Al-Khatib, a faculty member at the Faculty of Law at Amman Arab University, and it dealt with the Jordanian constitution and how it guaranteed the freedom to practice partisan activities and the system regulating the practice of partisan activities in institutions of higher education for the year 2022, and between the partisan activities that are allowed to be practiced on campus and the obligations of members The teaching and administrative staff and students when practicing partisan activity. Al-Khatib also explained the mechanism for submitting a request to establish partisan activity and the period for submitting it. And what are the decisions issued by the Dean of Student Affairs regarding the application, and he indicated that if the application is rejected, the applicant has the right to appeal to the president of the university, and he indicated that all laws and regulations in force in the university are applied to a member of the teaching or administrative staff or students who violate the system of practicing partisan activities within the university.
In his turn, Dr. Mishaal Al-Jarrah, Assistant Dean of Student Affairs, welcomed the attendance of members of the teaching and administrative staff and students, and conveyed to them the greetings of the University President and the Dean of Student Affairs. He said that this lecture comes in line with the Regulation for Regulating the Practice of Partisan Activities in Higher Education Institutions No. (68) for the year 2022, as well as recommendations Workshop on "Party Activities System: Legal Framework and Applied Contexts", which was held at the University of Jordan. The Independent Electoral Commission also presented the program (I participate), which began to be implemented at Amman Arab University, and the program was well received by the students. During the lecture, an extensive discussion took place that dealt with many questions about the system of practicing partisan activities from the audience, and these were answered by the lecturer.
