College of Engineering at Amman Arab University Participates in the Engineering Business Forum
Amman - Amman Arab University participated in the Engineering Business Forum (iSustain), represented by the Head of the Department of Architecture Engineering at the Faculty of Engineering, Prof. Hanan Mohammed Ahmed, who brought together the heads of architecture engineering departments in Jordanian universities with members of the Engineering Business Forum and the steering committee of the efficiency competition (iSustain Award) on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of its inception by the Forum.
The aim of the meeting was to discuss ways to develop the student projects competition (Efficiency Competition), as well as a strategic study to apply the concept of sustainability in architecture in all its environmental, social, and economic fields in academic education programs in the departments of architecture engineering, holding training workshops and presenting study cases that apply this concept from the initial study stages to graduation projects
During the meeting, the steering committee stressed the importance of the role of universities and professors in motivating students and involving them in such competitions. The committee also stressed that the competency competition aims to promote and enable students of architecture engineering to be able to consolidate the concept of sustainable solutions in their designs through educational workshops and the necessary training for the largest number of students participating in it from various Jordanian universities.
