President of Amman Arab University Visits the Public Security Directorate
Amman - President of Amman Arab University, Prof. Mohamad Al-Widyan, visited the Public Security Directorate and met with its director, Major General Obaid Allah Al-Maaytah, and blessed him with the confidence of the country’s leader in his recent appointment as Director of the Public Security Directorate, in the presence of Brigadier General Dr. Mutasem Abu Shatal, Assistant Director of Public Security for Administration and Manpower, and Prof. Dr. Dhaher Al-Qurashi is a faculty member from the College of Business and Mr. Anas Kasu from the Department of Media and Public Relations.
During the meeting, ways of scientific, academic and pioneering cooperation between the two sides were discussed. The President of the University, Prof. Mohamad Al-Widyan, presented the university’s vision and mission, and an overview of the university’s faculties and its various specializations, and the university’s role in the social responsibility that it takes as a model at the level of Jordanian universities.
On the other hand, the most important aspects that will be focused on were discussed in the first joint international scientific conference between the Public Security Directorate and Amman Arab University under the title: The Impact of Cyber Security on National Security, which will be held in the period between 20-21/12/2022.
In turn, Major General Obaid Allah Al-Maaytah said that the role of universities is important in developing social responsibility and its reflection on the surrounding environment in the development of societies, and that Jordanian universities are pioneering universities capable of supporting and achieving sustainable competitive advantages.
