
The Faculty of Applied Medical Sciences at Amman Arab University (AAU) Holds an Open Interactive Meeting with its Students
In alignment with Amman Arab University's vision of fostering an educational environment based on effective communication and positive partnership between students and academic staff, the Faculty of Applied Medical Sciences organized an interactive meeting that brought together the faculty's students with the Dean, Professor Dr. Rana Abu Huwaij, along with members of the teaching and administrative staff. This initiative falls within the faculty's commitment to establishing an approach of constructive dialogue and listening to student suggestions, thereby contributing to the development of the educational process and enhancing the level of academic services.
Dr. Abu Huwaij commenced the meeting with a welcoming speech, expressing her pride in the faculty's students and emphasizing the importance of such gatherings in strengthening communication bridges and reinforcing the bonds between students and the faculty administration. She indicated that students are the central focus of the educational process, and listening to their observations and suggestions represents a fundamental step towards continuous development and improvement. Abu Huwaij also affirmed the faculty's keenness to provide a stimulating educational environment that meets the students' academic, psychological, and professional needs, urging them to leverage the available opportunities and resources both inside and outside the university to help build their integrated academic and professional character.
The meeting included interventions from faculty members addressing a range of important academic topics, most notably: the academic guidance system, mechanisms for evaluation and field training, in addition to emphasizing the importance of attendance and active participation in the educational process. The session also highlighted the key programs and initiatives offered by the faculty to empower students and qualify them for the job market. The gathering also featured an open dialogue between students and faculty members, during which a number of questions and inquiries related to academic and administrative affairs were raised. These were addressed with complete transparency and clarity in an atmosphere characterized by positivity and cooperation.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the students expressed their appreciation for this initiative, which reflects the faculty's interest in their opinions and observations. They stressed the importance of the continuity of such meetings, which enhance a spirit of belonging and contribute to improving their educational experience and strengthening their university affiliation.
