
Enhancing Practical Training and Professional Readiness: Amman Arab University Signs Cooperation Agreement with Abdul Hadi Medical Hospital
Reflecting Amman Arab University's commitment to strengthening strategic partnerships with leading national healthcare institutions, the university has signed a cooperation agreement with Abdul Hadi Medical Hospital. The agreement aims to train and qualify students from the Faculty of Pharmacy in an advanced clinical environment that aligns with the latest developments in various healthcare fields.
The agreement was signed by Professor Dr. Mohammad Al-Widyan, President of Amman Arab University, and Dr. Omar Samer Abdul Hadi, Deputy General Director of Abdul Hadi Medical Hospital. The signing ceremony was attended by, Professor Dr. Rana Abu Huwaj, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Dr. May Al-Hawamdeh, Head of the Training Committee at the Faculty of Pharmacy, Dr. Rania Al-Wreikat, Faculty Member at the Faculty of Pharmacy, Mr. Anas Kaso, Assistant Director of the Media and Public Relations Department at the university. Representing Abdul Hadi Medical Hospital were: Ms. Aya Al-Anani, Public Relations Manager, Dr. Abdullah Farah, Director of the Clinical Pharmacy Department.
This agreement aligns with the university’s efforts to enhance students' practical and applied skills through hands-on field training and direct interaction with medical professionals across various departments at Abdul Hadi Medical Hospital. This exposure will enable students to engage with specialized medical expertise, refine their skills, and strengthen their professional readiness for the job market in various pharmaceutical practice fields.
Dr. Al-Widyan expressed the university’s pride in collaborating with Abdul Hadi Medical Hospital, a distinguished healthcare institution in Jordan. He emphasized that this step aligns with the university’s vision of fostering active partnerships with healthcare institutions and bridging the gap between theoretical education and practical training. He also noted that the Faculty of Pharmacy recently obtained international accreditation from the American Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), becoming the first young faculty among private universities in Jordan to achieve this milestone—a testament to the university’s commitment to quality and excellence.
For his part, Dr. Abdul Hadi expressed his pleasure with this academic and professional partnership with Amman Arab University. He affirmed the hospital’s dedication to supporting the educational process and contributing to the training of a qualified generation of pharmacists equipped with the necessary skills and expertise to provide healthcare services in line with the highest standards. He highlighted that the hospital offers an advanced training environment across all medical departments, allowing students to observe the latest medical and pharmaceutical practices and enhancing their job market readiness. Dr. Abdul Hadi also welcomed future collaboration with Amman Arab University in developing and implementing joint training and scientific programs to benefit students and elevate their competencies. Dr. Abu Huwaj stated that the agreement represents a qualitative addition to the faculty’s practical training programs, enabling students to immerse themselves in a comprehensive professional environment covering various clinical specialties. She affirmed the faculty’s commitment to continuously developing its academic and training programs in line with local and international standards while strengthening partnerships with leading institutions to support students in achieving their professional aspirations. The agreement stipulates the provision of clinical training opportunities for Amman Arab University’s pharmacy students across all departments of Abdul Hadi Medical Hospital under the joint supervision of academic and medical professionals. It also includes cooperation in organizing training programs and workshops to refine students’ skills and enhance their competencies in various pharmaceutical fields.
