College of Information Technology at Amman Arab University (AAU) Meets Its Graduates and Hosts a Training Workshop

As part of Amman Arab University’s commitment to strengthening continuous communication with its graduates, the College of Information Technology, in cooperation with the Deanship of Student Affairs and the Career Guidance and Alumni Follow-up Office, organized a face-to-face meeting with the college’s alumni on campus.

The meeting was led by the Dean of the College of Information Technology, Dr. Rami Sahwil, and attended by the Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Mohammed Bin Tarif; The Assistant Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Rami Al-Hanandeh; the Director of the Career Guidance and Alumni Follow-up Office, Mr. Wael Al-Hourani; the Vice Dean of the College, Dr. Malek Al-Jawarneh; Assistant Deans Dr. Afaf Adinat and Dr. Kamal Alieyan; heads of academic departments; and a number of collage members.

In his opening address, Dr. Sahwil welcomed the graduates and emphasized the importance of such meetings in enhancing communication with alumni and benefiting from their professional experiences to support and develop the academic process. He affirmed that graduates of the College of Information Technology are a fundamental pillar of the university’s progress and that their feedback plays a vital role in advancing academic and technical programs.

For his part, Dr. Mohammed Bin Tarif expressed his pride in the university’s graduates, highlighting the directives of the University President, Prof Mohammad Al-Widyan, which stress the importance of maintaining continuous engagement with alumni. He encouraged graduates to update their information on the alumni platform and to join the Alumni Forum on social media.

The meeting featured open discussions on several ideas and proposals presented by graduates aimed at enhancing the academic and technical environment at the university. It also included presentations of distinguished success stories from alumni of the College of Information Technology.

In addition, a training workshop entitled “Self-Learning Skills and Postgraduate Studies” was delivered by Dr. Lara Al-Shaboul, a collage member in the Department of Computer Science at the College of Information Technology. The workshop highlighted the significance of self-learning in professional and academic development, strategies for planning postgraduate studies, and the essential skills required to keep pace with rapid advancements in the information technology sector. At the conclusion of the meeting, graduates expressed their appreciation for the organization of this event, noting that it reflects the university’s and college’s commitment to valuing their opinions needs, and suggestions. They also praised the ongoing efforts to promote constructive dialogue, positive engagement, and collaborative work that support leadership and excellence.
