Amman Arab University (AAU) Participates in "Jordan Innovation Village" Conference to Support Youth Entrepreneurship
Amman Arab University participated in the "Jordan Innovation Village" conference, held as part of the 18th International Exhibition for Construction Technology, Building, Engineering Industries, and Energy (Jordan Build). The conference was organized by the Joining Academia with Industry Platform (JAIP) in partnership with the Retired Military Engineers Association and the Jordanian Society for Scientific Research, Entrepreneurship, and Innovation.
The University was represented by Dr. Samer Ayasrah, Director of the Innovation, Creativity, and Entrepreneurship Center. This participation aligns with efforts to foster innovation culture, support the knowledge economy, and advance the objectives of the Economic Modernization Vision launched by His Majesty King Abdullah II Ibn Al-Hussein – particularly in empowering Jordanian youth and providing specialized national platforms to showcase and market their entrepreneurial and creative projects.
Participating in the conference was student Noor Al-Huda Mustafa from the Faculty of Engineering at Amman Arab University, presenting her project "B-RICH." The project, incubated at the University's Innovation, Creativity, and Entrepreneurship Center, focuses on manufacturing agricultural materials and hydroponic fertilizers from reusable organic waste, contributing to enhanced environmental sustainability.
In this context, Dr. Ayasrah explained that the conference aims to highlight the creative projects of Jordanian youth and cultivate an incubating innovation environment. This is achieved by strengthening integration among the public, private, and academic sectors, supporting the goals of the Economic Modernization Vision and the transition toward a knowledge-based economy. He emphasized that Amman Arab University’s participation reflects its commitment to a pioneering role in supporting scientific research and innovation, its dedication to providing an incubating environment for youth creativity, and transforming their ideas into productive projects that meet sustainable development requirements and serve the national economy.
