Amman Arab University (AAU) Fosters Collaborative Values Among Students Through Quality Initiatives

Driven by its vision to enhance social bonds among students and encourage them to embrace human values by creating opportunities for positive interaction and active participation within the student community, Dr. Mohammad Tarif, Dean of Student Affairs, inaugurated the "Grant Me Your Book" and "Student Guidance" initiatives. He was representing Professor Dr. Mohammad Al-Widyan, University President. The event, organized by the Deanship of Student Affairs, was attended by Dr. Rami Hanandeh and Dr. Lyal Al-Zabin, Assistant Deans of Student Affairs, members of the Deanship's administrative staff, along with active participation from university students across various disciplines.

In this context, Dr. Bin Tarif indicated that the "Grant Me Your Book" initiative is one of the Deanship of Student Affairs' semesterly initiatives. It aims to promote social responsibility among students by encouraging them to exchange academic references and books amongst themselves, thereby adopting practices that enhance sustainability through the reuse of books by multiple students. He also pointed out that the "Student Guidance" initiative aims to facilitate the adjustment of students to the university environment and expedite the completion of administrative procedures across various university departments that can serve them.

For his part, Dr. Hanandeh expressed his encouragement for these initiatives, highlighting their goal of fostering a spirit of cooperation among students and their significant impact on deepening their sense of responsibility. He emphasized the importance of reaching all university students, encouraging their participation in such initiatives, and maximizing the use of available resources. The "Student Guidance" initiative, he noted, encourages current students to share their experiences with new students, familiarizing them with all the services the university offers. This enriches their knowledge, helps them integrate into university life, and prepares them to provide these services to future incoming students, thereby creating an atmosphere of interaction and sustainability for this type of student-led initiative.

For her part, Dr. Al-Zabin stressed the importance of such initiatives that reflect the spirit of community responsibility among the university's students and reinforce the principles of partnership and giving among the students themselves. She mentioned that both the "Grant Me Your Book" and "Student Guidance" initiatives embody a positive image of cooperation and solidarity within the university environment, praising the efforts of the students implementing the initiatives. She reaffirmed the Deanship of Student Affairs' continuous support for anything that contributes to developing awareness and building a proactive student generation capable of impacting its community.

It is noted that Amman Arab University, through these initiatives, seeks to disseminate a culture of giving and participation and to encourage students to engage with social responsibility, which is part of the University's mission to build a conscious and responsible generation capable of contributing to building a better future.
