“Thesis in Five Minutes” Competition, in its Second Edition, for Graduate Students at Amman Arab University

With the aim of enhancing and refining the skills of graduate students at Amman Arab University in scientific research, and enabling them to share their dissertation ideas with other students and equipping them with public speaking and presentation skills, Department of Computer Science and Information Systems at the College of Computer Science and Informatics at Amman Arab University held the Five Minutes Thesis Competition, managed by Professor. Namir Al-Imam, Dr. Mahmoud Al-Omari, and Dr. Thamer Al-Sarayrah, where students from the Master’s program in Computer Science who completed their dissertation proposal participated in the competition.

For his part, the Dean of the College of Computer Sciences and Informatics at Amman Arab University, Dr. Husam Al-Hamad, thanked all those in charge of the competition and the judging committee, praising the students’ academic level. He also urged the students to participate in the activities organized by the college and University for its great role in refining their personal and scientific experiences. Dr. Ghaith Jaradat also confirmed on the importance of such competitions in providing students with personal skills and guiding them to improve their research and academic skills.

At the end of the competition, all the students participating in the competition and the winners of the first places were honored in a ceremony attended by the Deputy Dean, department heads, faculty members at the college, and students. The first place was won by the student Salim Abu Lahiya, the second place was won by the student Thaer Jadallah, and the third place was taken by the student Ibrahim Al-Shibli.
