Under the patronage of Professor. Mohamad Al-Widyan, President of Amman Arab University, the Center for Creativity, Innovation and Entrepreneurship at the University, in partnership with the SPARK organization and with funding from the Qatar Fund for Development, concluded the activities of (Nashmi Amman Arab University AAU Hackathon), which lasted for four days, which aims to achieve and promote sustainable development goals among the local community.

On this occasion, Dr. Al-Widyan stressed that Amman Arab University is working to support and encourage entrepreneurial work and provide all integrated services to innovators and entrepreneurs to support them, nurture them, develop their potential, and develop their innovations from the idea until they have their own pioneering project. He explained that entrepreneurs have a decisive and important role in stimulating the economy and industry. The step of creating new projects is considered an important source of economic growth and job creation.

In turn, Dr. Samer Ayasrah, Director of the Center for Creativity, Innovation and Entrepreneurship at Amman Arab University, pointed out that the Nashmi Amman Arab AAU Hackathon aims to use and employ information and communications technology in innovative, pioneering work that contributes to developing sustainable solutions to reduce the challenges and problems facing societies.

The hackathon included an intensive training workshop carried out by Dr. Samer Ayasrah and with the assistance of Dr. Rami Hanandeh, a faculty member at the College of Business. It lasted for three days and trained the participating students on many of the skills necessary to develop their ideas and projects. The projects were judged by a group of experts from the Center for Creativity, Innovation and Entrepreneurship. The following teams were announced as winners:

1- The first place winner with a prize worth (1,500) dinars and an integrated incubation program (B-Rich).

2- Second place winner with a prize worth (1,200) dinars and an integrated team incubation program (Reflection).

3- The first place winner with a prize worth (1000) dinars and an integrated team incubation program (Hear Me?).
