Department of Renewable Energy at Amman Arab University Excel in the Second Student Energy Forum

Under the directives of Professor. Mohamad Al-Widyan, President of Amman Arab University, students of renewable energy department at Amman Arab University participated in the work of the Second Student Energy Forum under the title “The Future of Leadership in the Field of Energy, Buildings, Transport, and Climate,” which was held in the Engineers Syndicate building, under the patronage of Engineer Ahmed Samara Al-Zoubi, chief of Jordanian Engineers Union, organized by the Young Engineers Committee of the Association and in cooperation with the Organization of Energy Engineers (AEE) Jordan Branch, with the participation of approximately 350 male and female students in addition to 21 expert speakers.

The forum included a wide range of lectures and discussions on contemporary energy issues, challenges and innovations in this field, and was distinguished by the presence of experts and specialists from various countries to exchange expertise and successful experiences with experts from the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, the Land Transport Regulatory Authority, and international cooperation programs in the field of energy and environment.

The forum included a wide range of lectures and discussions on contemporary energy issues, challenges and innovations in this field, and was distinguished by the presence of experts and specialists from various countries to exchange expertise and successful experiences with experts from the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, the Land Transport Regulatory Authority, and international cooperation programs in the field of energy and environment.

The students of Amman Arab University presented a graduation project for the renewable energy engineering major, through which the students achieved second place in the best scientific publication competition, in which they presented a topic on solid-state batteries. At the conclusion of the forum activities, scholarships were distributed and the winners of the various competitions were honored. This gave the forum an educational and interactive character that contributes to enhancing scientific research and exchanging knowledge in the field of energy and environment.

In this regard, the Dean of the College of Engineering, Dr. Anwar Al-Assaf, stressed that the participation of renewable energy engineering students in such activities works to enrich the knowledge and practical experience of the students, as it connects them to the latest developments in the world of energy and the environment. He stated that the vision of the College of Engineering at Amman Arab University is excellence locally and regionally. In teaching and learning in various fields of engineering and scientific research
