Amman Arab University Wins the European ERASMUS+ Project with the Polytechnic Institute of Cávado and Ave (IPCA) in Portugal

Among the Erasmus+ ICM projects, Amman Arab University signed an agreement with the Polytechnic Institute of Cávado and Ave (IPCA) in Portugal. These projects funded by the European Union are important for the purpose of exchanging faculty members, administrative staff and students, as all universities in the Arab countries compete to win such valuable projects. President of the university, Professor. Mohamad Al-Widyan, and the director of the International Office and External Relations, Dr. Muhammad Mufid Sahwil, represented Amman Arab University, while Dr. Maria Fernandez, president of the institute, and Mrs. Angela Carvalho, representatives of the Cavado and Avi Polytechnic Institute, as this agreement will enter into force in the month of May of Next year 2024.

In this regard, the President of Amman Arab University, Professor. Mohamad Al-Widyan, stated that the Erasmus+ programs constituted a transformative shift for Amman Arab University, which enabled the University to enter into important partnerships with esteemed European educational institutions in countries such as (the United Kingdom, Italy, Portugal) through the academic exchange program, and building the capabilities of workers in vocational and technical education (professional diploma in aviation safety), which was in cooperation with European universities from Greece, Lithuania and Turkey, in addition to Jordanian educational institutions, stressing that the experience of the faculty members participating in these projects was an opportunity to expand their horizons and enrich Their academic experience.

These projects are part of the Erasmus+ program projects funded by the European Union in the field of exchange of faculty members, administrative staff and student, in addition to the development of institutions of higher education and scientific research for the year 2023, according to what was announced by the European Commission in Brussels - Belgium. The Erasmus+ program works to develop competencies in public and private higher education institutions, support activities in the fields of education, youth, sports, information technology, and study plans and controlling their quality. This agreement is the University's third agreement within the European Erasmus+ program.
