The Aviation Sciences College at Amman Arab University held a meeting for its new and returning students, under the directives of Professor Dr. Mohammad Al-Widyan, President of Amman Arab University, and as part of the series of periodic meetings organized by the university administration with its students. This reflects the university’s belief in the importance of students as the cornerstone of the educational process. During the meeting, Dr. Malek Al- Salem Al-Anaqreh, Dean of the Aviation Sciences College, along with the faculty members, congratulated the new students on their acceptance into the college’s two programs: Aircraft Maintenance and Aviation Electronics Sciences.

During the meeting, Dr. Al-Anaqreh reviewed the college’s journey since its establishment in 2017, highlighting its distinguished status as one of the unique colleges in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and the region, as well as its strategic partnership with the Middle East Aviation Academy. He also showcased the international accreditations the college has obtained, most notably the American Academic Accreditation (AABI) and the European Professional Accreditation (EASA), which contribute to enhancing the scientific and practical skills of students and preparing them to efficiently enter the job market.

Al-Anaqreh emphasized the high employment rates of the college’s graduates, exceeding 80%, in addition to the students’ high success rates in the university competency exam, which surpassed 85%. He noted that the college hosts students from over 11 different nationalities, reflecting its advanced regional standing. Al-Anaqreh also stressed the importance of academic advising, explaining the college’s commitment to monitoring students academically and developing appropriate guidance plans to enhance their abilities and support their academic journey. This is alongside organizing specialized training courses and workshops that prepare them for the future job market. He added that the college’s deanery and faculty are keen on evaluating and improving educational program outcomes to equip students with the highest levels of knowledge, skills, and competencies required for working in the aviation sector.

The meeting included an introductory lecture by Dr. Ahmad Alhosban, a faculty member at the Aviation College, which addressed the importance of the (AABI) accreditation, its key aspects, and its positive impact on the quality of students’ educational outcomes. This meeting is part of Amman Arab University’s efforts to establish an integrated academic environment that supports students and provides them with the best opportunities for scientific and professional excellence in the aviation sector.
