A Distinguished Free Medical Day at Amman Arab University with the Participation of (40) Physician and Specialized Institutions

Based on Amman Arab University’s belief in social responsibility and its commitment to the values of giving and solidarity, Deanship of Student Affairs, College of Pharmacy, College of Educational and Psychological Sciences, and the Health Center at Amman Arab University, in cooperation with the Ministry of Health and the First Insurance Company, organized the “Free Medical Day” as part of the “Muzn Amman Arab University” initiatives to serve the local community, university employees, students and their families.

On this occasion, Professor. Ismail Yameen said in his speech on behalf of Professor. Mohamad Al-Widyan, President of the University and sponsor of the ceremony, that Amman Arab University has always held and organized such events based on its vision, mission and societal responsibility to carry out this humanitarian role of organizing a free medical day to provide optimal medical care through specialized physician and pharmacists, and he stated that this activity falls under one of the activities carried out by the university every year through the Deanship of Student Affairs and its medical center to carry out the assigned role of health awareness roles, spread cultural and health awareness, and communicate with the local community to serve them in partnership with charities and community institutions. Civilian.

In turn, Professor. Khaled Bani Hamdan, Dean of Student Affairs, welcomed the generous attendance from the local community and university students, and extended his sincere thanks to the supporting bodies and participation in the free medical day. He added that such activities have a large and important role in serving the local community, students and university employees, through the participation of many medical companies and physician who have long experience in the medical field.

For her part, Professor. Rana Abu Hweij, Dean of the College of Pharmacy, said that this day is a day full of inspiration and dedication to serving members of society, a day in which we raise the banner of health care high and renew the pledge to provide the best free health services to our community and by intensifying efforts to serve those in need of optimal health and well-being, reflecting the most beautiful feelings of solidarity and solidarity to provide the best services and medical care to members of our community.

The medical day included many medical specialty clinics, such as: ophthalmology, dermatology, gynecology, general medicine, pediatrics, dental, nutritional consultations, and medical laboratories, with the participation of the King Hussein Cancer Center, Al-Istiqlal Hospital, Al-Nidaa Charitable Society, Jo santi Laboratories, and Al-Sharif Eye Center, United Mission Organization for Relief and Development, the Blessed Tree Company, the Abu Sharif Drug Store, Umm Al-Summaq Medical Laboratories, Dar Al-Hekma, the Munir Sukhtian Commercial Group Company, the Jerash Pharmaceutical Industries Company, the International Pharmaceutical Company, and the Philadelphia Pharmaceutical Company. Free medicines and vitamins were distributed to the patients, and the family of the Deanship of Student Affairs and the College of Pharmacy and their students participated in the success, organization and assistance of the doctors and patients, organizing their income and distributing the medicines prescribed by the specialist physician. At the conclusion of the activity, certificates were handed over to the participating and supporting companies by the Dean of Student Affairs, Professor. Khaled Bani Hamdan, and it is worth noting that the number of beneficiaries of the medical day reached 175, distributed from the local community, students and university employees.
