
Amman Arab University (AAU) Participates in 10th International Staff Week at Open University of Cyprus Funded by Erasmus+
Amman Arab University participated in the 10th International Staff Week organized by the Open University of Cyprus in Nicosia, funded by the European Union’s Erasmus+ program. This engagement aligns with the university’s efforts to strengthen its global presence and foster academic exchange.
Representing the university was Dr. Mohammed Nassar, Faculty Member at the College of Information Technology and Director of the Marketing Department. He contributed to specialized sessions and workshops addressing contemporary themes in higher education, including: learning experience design, blended learning, academic marketing, simulation-based learning, artificial intelligence in education, university-industry linkages, and remote student support.
Dr. Nassar delivered a presentation highlighting Amman Arab University’s experience in e-learning, scientific research, community service, and industrial integration. He also showcased the university’s academic marketing model, which garnered significant acclaim from representatives of participating institutions.
Professor Dr. Mohammad Al-Widyan, President of Amman Arab University, emphasized the importance of this participation in elevating the university’s international standing and advancing its academic and research capabilities amid evolving trends in higher education. Dr. Mohammed
Sehwal, Director of the International Office and External Relations, noted that this engagement aligns with the university’s internationalization strategy to build effective partnerships with global higher education institutions. He added that the office leverages such events to exchange expertise and adopt international best practices.
The program featured representatives from over 20 universities across Europe, Asia, and Africa, creating a dynamic environment for sharing global academic experiences and enhancing international collaboration.
This participation is part of a series of initiatives organized by the International Office and External Relations at Amman Arab University, aimed at promoting internationalization and expanding academic networks to enhance educational quality and cement the university’s status as a pioneering educational institution in the region.
