The 5th International Conference on Computer Science and Informatics (ICSIC 2024) at Amman Arab University (AAU) Published in Scopus

Affirming its commitment to supporting scientific research and enhancing its presence in prestigious international databases, Amman Arab University announced the publication of the proceedings of the 5th International Conference on Computer Science and Informatics (ICSIC 2024), which was organized by the College of Information Technology at the university. The conference proceedings have been published by the American Institute of Physics and Engineering (AIP), an internationally recognized publishing body whose publications are indexed in major global databases, most notably Scopus.

The American Institute of Physics and Engineering (AIP), founded more than a century ago, includes over 35 specialized scientific societies worldwide dedicated to advancing science and engineering, promoting scientific research, and serving the academic community. AIP publishes numerous peer-reviewed scientific journals and conference proceedings indexed in global databases such as Scopus and Web of Science, adhering to rigorous peer-review and publication standards that ensure high scientific quality and academic integrity.

The 5th International Conference on Computer Science and Informatics (ICSIC 2024) was held under the patronage of His Excellency the Minister of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship, Eng. Sami Al-Samirat. The two-day conference witnessed wide international participation and representation, making it a distinguished scientific event at the international level. Researchers from several countries participated in the conference, including Egypt, India, the United Arab Emirates, Malaysia, and the United States, reflecting the conference is growing scientific reputation and global academic reach.

The conference covered a range of specialized scientific themes, including artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, data science, cloud computing, virtual and augmented reality technologies, and other emerging fields in computer science and informatics. Out of 150 submitted research papers, 63 papers were accepted after undergoing a rigorous peer-review process conducted by specialized local and international scientific committees. All accepted papers have been published by the international publishing house AIP and are expected to be indexed in Scopus in the coming period.

On this occasion, Dr. Omar Tarawneh, Chair of the Conference, emphasized that this achievement reflects the advanced academic and research standing of Amman Arab University and highlights its ongoing commitment to supporting scientific research and strengthening international academic collaboration. He noted that the conference has become an effective scientific platform for the exchange of knowledge and expertise among researchers from around the world, contributing to the advancement of computer science and modern technology.

For his part, Dr. Rami Sahwil, Dean of the College of Information Technology at Amman Arab University, expressed his pride in this accomplishment, affirming the College’s commitment to continuing the organization of international scientific conferences that align with the latest global research trends. He also stressed the importance of fostering an environment that promotes innovation and research excellence among faculty members and students, in line with the university’s vision of achieving academic and research leadership at both the regional and international levels.
