The Collage of Information Technology at Amman Arab University (AAU) organizes the fourth edition of the "Five Minute Thesis" Competition for Graduate Students

As part of Amman Arab University's efforts to enhance graduate students' research skills and enable them to present and share their research ideas in a scientific and professional manner, in addition to developing their public speaking and presentation skills, the Computer Science Department at the Collage of Information Technology organized the fourth edition of the "Five Minute Thesis (5MT)" competition. The competition was supervised by Dr. Firas Abu Al-Adas, Head of the Computer Science Department, Prof. Namir Nazim Al-Imam, Dr. Ghaith M. Jaradat, Dr. Amer Abu Jassar, Dr. Thamer Al-Sarairah, and Dr. Bashar Al-Khasawneh, with the participation of Master's students in Computer Science who had completed their thesis proposals.

The competition was inaugurated by Dr. Rami Sihwail, Dean of the Collage of Information Technology at the university. He expressed his gratitude to all those involved in organizing the competition and to the members of the judging panel for their outstanding efforts. He commended the advanced academic level demonstrated by the participating students and emphasized Amman Arab University's ongoing commitment to supporting high-quality scientific activities that contribute to developing students' academic and personal skills and fostering a culture of scientific research and innovation.

Dr. Abu Al-Adas, in turn, emphasized the importance of organizing such competitions, given their active role in developing and refining the research and scientific skills of postgraduate students, and enabling them to present their ideas and research projects in a clear, simple, and professional scientific manner that reflects their competence and ability to communicate scientifically. At the conclusion of the competition, the participating students and the winners of the top three places were honored. Student Lina Abu Zaida won first place, student Shatha Muhanna came in second place, while student Mahmoud Al-Sayes won third place. The students also expressed their appreciation for organizing this competition, as it had a positive impact in highlighting the interest of the administration of Amman Arab University and the college in their opinions, needs, and suggestions, and they appreciated the continuous efforts to promote constructive dialogue, consolidate positive interaction, and support joint cooperation in a way that contributes to achieving leadership and excellence.
