“Amman Arab University” Participates in an Introductory Workshop for the Al- Hassan Award for Scientific Excellence (2024)

Amman - Dr. Samer Ayasrah, Director of the Center for Creativity, Innovation and Entrepreneurship at Amman Arab University, participated at the invitation of the Supreme Council for Science and Technology, the introductory workshop for the Al- Hassan Award for Scientific Excellence in its 2024 session, dedicated to higher education institutions, was held at the headquarters of the Royal Scientific Society.

Amman Arab University’s participation in the workshop, which was opened by the Secretary General of the Supreme Council for Science and Technology, Prof. Mashhour Al-Rifai, comes to introduce the award’s work methodology and the mechanism for applying and competing for it, through which cash prizes will be presented to the first three places as follows: J.D10,000 for first place, J.D 7,000 for second place, and J.D5,000 for third place. The focus and emphasis was that applying for the competition requires submitting an integrated file for a distinctive and unconventional project that benefits the local community in its economic, social and cultural aspects, preferably within partnerships.

It is worth noting that the “Al-Hassan bin Talal Award for Scientific Excellence” was established in 1995 in recognition of the scientific standing of His Royal Highness Prince Al- Hassan bin Talal, and his pioneering role in enhancing science, scientists and creativity, and to enhance the great position of His Highness in supporting institutions concerned with education and training and to encourage educational, scientific and technological activities in the Institutions concerned with education and training, as a support for the scientific revolution.
