IEEE Day
IEEE Day commemorates the first time in history when engineers around the world and IEEE members gathered to share their ideas in 1884.
Theme: "Leveraging Technology for a Better Tomorrow."
While the world benefits from current innovations, IEEE focuses on what’s next. IEEE Day 2025 marks the 16th edition of this theme.
Celebrations worldwide showcase how thousands of IEEE members come together in their local communities to collaborate on ideas that leverage technology for a better future. At Amman Arab University, we joined the global celebrations in 2024 and 2025, and we are aiming to do so again in 2026!
The IEEE Day team consists of student members, recent graduates, and engineers working together to make the day bigger and better than the past editions. Their main mission is to motivate and coordinate global activities and celebrations. The event offers fun, engagement, and support for members and volunteers.
IEEEXtreme Competition
IEEEXtreme is a global 24-hour programming competition where teams of IEEE student members compete to solve a set of problems. The event is hosted annually by a Jordanian university.
