Networks & System Administration Devision

The Systems and Networks Management Division is one of the specialized technical units within the university. It is responsible for planning, operating, managing, and maintaining information systems and computer networks to ensure continuity, high efficiency, and security. The division aims to support educational, research, and administrative processes by providing a stable and secure technological environment, in compliance with the university’s approved policies and regulations, as well as academic accreditation and quality assurance requirements.

Tasks:

  • Manage, operate, and maintain servers, central systems, databases, and the academic and administrative systems approved by the university.
  • Plan, implement, and manage wired and wireless computer networks, ensuring their efficiency and continuous operation.
  • Monitor the performance of systems and networks, and take the necessary measures to address technical faults and minimize downtime.
  • Implement information security policies and protect networks, including security systems, backup procedures, and disaster recovery plans.
  • Manage user accounts and permissions in accordance with the university’s regulations and guidelines.
  • Perform periodic updates and upgrades of systems, servers, and networks to ensure stability and security.
  • Document technical configurations and operational procedures, and prepare periodic technical reports for monitoring and quality assurance purposes.
  • Coordinate with colleges and administrative units to ensure the integration of technical systems and meet operational needs.
  • Provide technical supervision of vendors and service providers regarding the implementation of systems and networks projects or specialized maintenance work.
  • Contribute to the planning and development of the technological infrastructure and support the university’s digital transformation initiatives.
