Psychology has become one of the most important sciences taught in different universities in throughout the world, and in many programs. It has gained this importance from its theoretical and practical aspects, It has become an effective contributor to help individuals solve their problems, and face life difficulties and overcome negative consequences. and control the results, and reduce the effects of problems؛ therefore the Program of Educational Psychology at Amman Arab University is interested to provide programs that serves the community, which includes: the master's degree program in the field of educational psychology (growth & learning), and the Master degree program in measurement and evaluation of education. The program is basing it's work on scientific and theoretical aspects in order to achieve its objectives. The students are trained on using psychological standards. A distinguished of psychology professors with a diverse experience has joined the program, that will contribute in submitting many services in the field of education and psychology to various categories in society.

Entrepreneurship and excellence in the quality of teaching and learning, scientific research, and community service locally and internationally.

Mission

Preparing qualified, advanced, and capable human cadres cognitively, professionally, and ethically in the field of educational psychology, psychological and educational counseling, to meet community needs efficiently and effectively.

 

Mission, Objectives, and Educational Outcomes of Educational Psychology Major - Master’s Program

Program Mission:

Preparing qualified and distinguished graduates to meet local and regional community needs, by a qualified cadre capable to cope with local and international criteria of e. learning inclusion.

Educational Program Objectives:

  1. Developing theoretical and practical experiences to understand and interpret human behavior.
  2. Upgrading research skills to conduct studies in the fields of educational psychology.
  3. Updating the means, equipment and resources used in the educational process.
  4. Contributing in solving the issues of the society, related to psychological nature.


Educational Program Outcomes:
The intended outcome of this program is to prepare graduates who are able to:

  1. Recognize educational and psychological theories in the educational process.
  2. Clarify individual differences between learners in educational institutions. 
  3. Apply qualitative and quantitative research skills through the use of statistical programs in the psychological and educational field.
  4. Employ higher-order thinking skills in solving educational and psychological problems.
  5. Evaluate educational and psychological tests and standards in the psychological and educational field.
  6. Build educational and psychological measurement tests in the educational process.

  5. Diagnosing individual differences between learners in educational institutions.
