
"Amman Arab University (AAU) Organizes Workshop on Jordanian Program Accreditation in Collaboration with the Accreditation and Quality Assurance Commission"
As part of its ongoing efforts to enhance academic programs and uphold quality standards, Amman Arab University’s Center for Academic Development and Quality Assurance, in collaboration with the Accreditation and Quality Assurance Commission, organized a specialized workshop titled "Jordanian Program Accreditation." This workshop aligns with the university’s vision to elevate academic programs in accordance with the Commission’s objectives of advancing higher education institutions toward global competitiveness. It also aimed to develop Jordanian accreditation standards (2022) amid rapid developments in higher education and the pressing need to ensure quality and excellence in meeting labor market demands.
The session, coordinated by Dr. Ahmed Al bloush , Director of the Center for Academic Development and Quality Assurance at Amman Arab University, in collaboration with Ms. Rola Hadad and Ms. Ala’a Al-Halaiqa from the Accreditation and Quality Assurance Commission,
covered key themes, including the distinction between initial specialized accreditation and Jordanian program accreditation, as well as the procedures and standards outlined in the Jordanian accreditation manual.
During the workshop, Hadad and Al-Halaiqa emphasized the importance of expediting Jordanian accreditation procedures for all academic programs and highlighted the Commission’s readiness to provide ongoing support and guidance to educational institutions. The event saw notable attendance from faculty and administrative staff involved in accreditation and quality assurance across the university’s colleges.
At the conclusion of the workshop, Dr. Al bloush, honored the guest speakers from the Accreditation and Quality Assurance Commission, commending their efforts and constructive cooperation in supporting academic quality and accreditation.
