As part of the agreement between Amman Arab University and Odoo to support digital transformation and enhance academic and applied skills, the university's College of Business organized a specialized training program for faculty members, supervised by Dr Ammar ALRawahna, a faculty member at the college.
The two-day training program, totaling 10 training hours, was inaugurated by Dr. Ahoud Al-Khasawneh, Dean of the College of Business, who emphasized the importance of this initiative in developing participants' applied skills—particularly in digital transformation and improving educational and administrative systems using Odoo platforms. She noted that the program aims to equip faculty members with the tools and knowledge needed to leverage modern technology in enhancing academic and administrative performance, fostering an innovative and effective learning environment.
Dr. Al-Khasawneh added that this initiative aligns with the college's ongoing efforts to update curricula and provide faculty with cutting-edge knowledge that meets the demands of the digital age and labor market requirements.
For his part, Dr. ALRawahna highlighted the program's role in developing faculty skills, explaining that he coordinated with Odoo's team to ensure high-quality training content that maximizes participants' ability to effectively apply modern systems in education and administration.
In support of student empowerment, the event also announced an opportunity for College of Business students to earn an Odoo International Diploma free of charge upon completing the training program and passing required exams. This initiative opens doors for students to join Odoo's partner network locally and regionally, enhancing their career prospects.
At the conclusion of the program, Dr. Al-Khasawneh presented a commemorative shield to Mr. Kevin Farah, Education Director at Odoo, in recognition of the company's outstanding efforts in supporting digital transformation in higher education and its role in advancing e-learning environments and modernizing academic curricula to align with digital-age demands.
This initiative was carried out under the directives of Prof. Dr. Mohammad Al-Widyan, President of Amman Arab University, in line with the university's vision to adopt the latest educational technologies and integrate them into academic processes. Through such efforts, the university reaffirms its commitment to qualitative initiatives that bridge academic and practical aspects, preparing graduates to keep pace with rapid developments and excel in future work environments.
