Jordanian Hashemite Efforts to Support our Bloved People in Palestine and Gaza, and the Duty of the Various Sectors of the Jordanian People at this Serious Stage

Written by: Dr. Munther Abdel Karim Al-Qudah

Associate Professor of Civil Law - Amman Arab University – Jordan

be to God alone, and prayers and peace be upon the one after whom there is no prophet and after.... Security is a great blessing, one of God’s blessings for Man. With security, civilizations are built, and it is one of the most important factors for renaissance in any state. Without security and safety, life is not comfortable. By thanking God for the blessing of security, this blessing lasts and resentment is warded off.

It is my religious duty first to remind of the blessing of security in my dearly beloved country, the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, in which the citizen is safe in all aspects; money, children, and all interests and affairs. By the grace of God, and from Him; we must all preserve this great blessing and thank God Almighty for it, and not neglect or underestimate it.

God has legislated for us, through His best creation, Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, a complete law in its system and organization, including obedience to those in charge. There must be a guardian, and must be obeyed, otherwise people will become corrupt. God Almighty has endowed the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan with wise, rational leadership that cares about the affairs of all Muslims, and among their legitimate rights over us are the Qur’an and the Sunnah of the Prophet Sunnah, obedience, and compliance with what they were commanded to do, and abandoning what they forbade within the limits of God and His law. Whoever follows that is obedient to God and His Prophet and will be rewarded for this, and whoever violates that is disobedient to God and His Prophet and sinful thereby.

Among obedience to those in charge of the matters that God has commanded is for the believer to follow the regulations and instructions issued by them if they do not violate the Sharia, and to seek an excuse for them, and not to fall into disgrace, disseminate evils and errors, and turn away from what is good and right.

Dear Friends:
The religious advice given to the rulers in our country, Jordan, implies helping them in their responsibility with justice, speaking kindly to them, loving their righteousness, guidance and justice, uniting their words, hating their division and conflict, hating those who rebel against them, praying for them for goodness and righteousness, having a good opinion of them, and not beautifying the faked reality, as some people do these days by inflaming emotions, making incorrect accusations, and false claims.

I also point out, secondly, that in such difficult circumstances in which Palestine and Gaza City live, we always see, and the rulers in Jordan have come forward, including His Majesty King Abdullah II, his faithful Crown Prince, Prince Hussein bin Abdullah II, and the ministries and public institutions operating in the state; Many royal orders, directives and decisions were issued by taking immediate and urgent steps; to mitigate the effects of this war on the people in Palestine and Gaza, and to provide aid and assistance by running trucks carrying humanitarian aid, sending relief convoys through the Hashemite Charitable Organization, supporting the Jordanian field hospital located in Gaza with medical equipment, and landing urgent medical aid by parachutes for the sixth time, .

One of which was attended by Her Highness Princess Salma bint Abdullah II; to enhance and develop the hospital’s potential and increase the ability of medical staff to provide health and treatment services to alleviate the hardship of families in the Gaza Strip.

This support also comes in addition to what was previously allocated under the direction of His Majesty the King, in support of the budget of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) in the amount of 3 million Jordanian dinars, and the aid convoys that are transported to Al-Arish Airport via Royal Jordanian Air Force aircraft to provide relief and support to our people in Gaza. The Jordanian Crown Prince, Prince Hussein bin Abdullah II, arrived at Al-Arish Airport in Egypt to supervise the process of equipping and sending the Jordanian Private Field Hospital/2 to the southern Gaza Strip with a capacity of 41 beds.

Since the beginning of this crisis, the international political efforts of His Majesty King Abdullah II have not stopped regarding the events of the aggression against Gaza, through his rejection of any plan for Israel to occupy parts of Gaza, stressing that the origin of the crisis is Israel’s deprivation of the Palestinians of their legitimate rights. The political steps that His Majesty King Abdullah II began with the beginning of the aggression against Gaza produced a step that actually led to a change in the compass and popular mood in Western countries, as well as the issuance of a resolution in the UN Security Council to establish humanitarian truces that would allow the entry of humanitarian aid into the Gaza Strip.

In addition to political meetings with leaders and officials of countries, and seeking to reach a stage that establishes a permanent ceasefire in Gaza, efforts are still being made, thanks to God Almighty. Our Jordanian People, National unity and the integrity of the internal front in Jordan are the source of strength for the King, the government, and the people in the face of all the internal and external challenges that the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan is confronting now, and everyone is confronting the same difficulty.

We must move away from manifestations of transgression in society, and reject the claim of division and incitement carried out by some mobs and the infiltrators and rogues during this fierce war by the Israeli occupation army on Gaza; since it is one of the claims of pre-Islamic times, its danger is great and grave to the nation, and it has never been established in a nation except that it has disintegrated and disappeared, and it has never disappeared from a nation except that it has become dominant and happy. And we should thank God for the blessings that Jordan has given us, which are missed by many of those around us in the country. Today, everyone is legally required to preserve this great blessing, not to neglect it, and to preserve the nation’s gains and potential. Loving the nation is part of faith, and to look at the killing and bloodshed around us, indecent assault, intimidation, and kidnapping, May God protect Jordan from that. Advice: One of the manifestations of national unity is preserving public property and public facilities and not harming them, as these facilities are the foundation of the nation, and a symbol of its economic and developmental strength, and they must be taken into account by everyone who dares to tamper with the nation’s gains and potential.

These facilities were built to provide services to citizens, and disrupting this service means disrupting the interests of the people and harming them. We reject any suspicious call to attack our brothers from the security services, and we pray to God Almighty day and night; to the forces of the Arab Army, Public Security, Gendarmerie, and all security services, we extend our support, success, and support, and we see this as our national, legitimate duty. Thank you to the leaders of Public Security...thank you to the security services that ensure our security and comfort. Our Jordanian People: Expressing an honest opinion and advising those in charge in Jordan can only be done according to what is legislated by the holy law, and what is prescribed by the effective laws in force in Jordan regarding the right to express one’s opinion, or to peacefully sit in, and it exists, thanks to God, and is implemented by our Hashemite leadership.

Facilitating it is from the relevant institutions, and it should not be based on repressed instincts or practicing behavioral chaos without embarrassment or shame and going beyond the familiar customs and traditions. In the Sahih it is narrated by Anas bin Malik that he said: (You will perform deeds that are more accurate in your eyes than hair, and we used to consider them, during the time of the Prophet of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, among the calamities.

Dear Honorable and Noble People: Perhaps one of the most serious things confronting the Jordanian people currently in light of this horrific crisis sweeping our people in Palestine and Gaza is the danger of rumors, and those disseminate rumors, especially on social media and accusations of a hidden role for Jordan in this crisis.

It is our legal duty to deny the opportunity to anyone who dares to harm the security of this country by inciting sectarian strife, and regional or sectarian fanaticism. It is the legal duty of Jordanians to trust their scholars, preachers, and legal scholarly bodies, and to stand by their legal Fatwas on matters of their religion, and not to look at the gossipers, the talkative people, the ones who create seditions, and those who escalate them. The lesson is not the abundance of speech, nor is the eloquence of the tongue, nor the magic of speech, but the lesson and the balance with strong argument and clarification with evidence from the Book of God and the Sunnah of His Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). What is required by Sharia’ advice is the necessity of justice in word and deed, and taking care to follow the guidance of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) in giving advice to every Muslim in a way that achieves the interests, averts corruption, brings hearts together, and unites ranks, in accordance with the Almighty’s saying: And hold fast to the rope of God all together and do not become divided, as well as following the prophet sayings (peace and blessings be upon him): (God is pleased with three things for you: that you worship Him and do not associate anything with Him, that you hold fast to the rope of God all together and do not become divided, and that you advise those whom God has appointed over you).

May God protect Jordan, its people, and may God protect our victorious Hashemite leadership under the leadership of King Abdullah II and his faithful Crown Prince. And the Last of our call will be “Praise to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds”
