The seminar was attended by Dr. Yazan Al-Mahameed, the Director of Language and Translation center; Dr. Ahmad Tawalbeh from Amman Arab University; several faculty members and college students; Prof. Rajai Khanji from the University of Jordan; and Dr. Suleiman Abbas, who represented the Jordanian Association of Translators and Applied Linguists.
During the seminar, Prof. Rajai Khanji and Dr. Suleiman Abbas discussed a number of topics that are relevant to junior translators, such as the difficulties they encounter when they first start their careers and the difficulties, they have demonstrating their abilities because they lack practical experience.
The two lecturers also discussed what happens to translators as a result of language and cultural challenges, including dealing with cultural and linguistic differences between languages, which presents a significant challenge for them and necessitates a thorough understanding of all subjects. Additionally, the time element is a major concern for translators, particularly when they are under a lot of pressure to meet deadlines, which lowers the quality of the translation and increases the translator's stress.
