Faculty of Pharmacy at Amman Arab University organizes an awareness day on breast cancer
Faculty of Pharmacy, in partnership with the university's health center and the Jordanian Breast Cancer Program at the King Hussein Cancer Center, organized a breast cancer awareness day in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month as part of its dedication to helping the local community and raising awareness of health issues.
Prof. Rana Abu Howij, dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, opened the event by welcoming the participants, who included women from the local Ain Al-Basha community, students, and members of the teaching and administrative staff. She underlined in her speech the significance of increasing awareness about early detection, pointing out that fostering an environment that is conducive to early screening for breast cancer, one of the most common cancers in Jordan, helps raise early detection rates, which in turn improves public health and quality of life.
