The College of Computer Sciences and Informatics hosts experts from the Private Sector to Give Lectures in Several Courses at Amman Arab University
During the academic year 2023/2024, the College of Computer Sciences and Informatics hosted a number of experts in various information technology fields under the supervision of Professor Dr. Mohammad Al-Widyan, President of Amman Arab University. This was done in an effort to improve its students and give them the practical skills that employers demand. These professionals gave hands-on lectures in several College courses on cloud computing, cyber security, mobile device apps, advanced database programming, and advanced programming.
In this context, Amman Arab University's dean of computer sciences and informatics college, Dr. Hussam Al-Hamad, stressed the value of bringing business professionals to introduce students to the newest communication and IT technologies to create systems and applications that satisfy global standards. He pointed out that this would improve students' chances of getting good jobs in their field and boost their competitiveness. The College has developed an operational plan to give students real-world skills that align with the labor market's demands through collaborations with the private IT industry. He added that all practical courses are taught utilizing software frameworks used in the labor market to assist students' readiness for successful market integration. Additionally, the College hosts free training sessions and various workshops on advanced computing issues led by industry leaders and academic members.
